June 2012 Newsletter: Garden of Delights

Days are growing longer, sunnier and you long to sit in your garden & knit...Army of Knitters' new Spring/Summer Collection: Garden of Delights, inspired by the Impressionist painters of flowers, makes this a dream come true.  Amazing colors, textures and a visual rhythm, the brilliance of sunlight on delicate petals these beckoned designer Heather Dixon to create this new line. Flowing, lightweight, these garments blossomed and are designed to be knit complete seamless and are comfortable in warm weather or layered on days when the sun isn't kissing your skin.  Only one question remains, which flower will you create first?

Waterlillies
Inspired by the paintings of Monet’s Garden Waterlillies is worked from the top down. Simple ribs and delicate lace frame the body while gentle stripes of tonal colors work their magic to create a “masterpiece” in knitting.

Tigerlillies
Worked top down from the shoulders, Tigerlillies is a very relaxed fit and a pleasurably easy knit.  Add your own style by mixing yarns, stripes or keeping it simple.

Sunflowers Cami & Skirt
The Sunflowers Camiand matching Skirt make the perfect outfit to wear to a special event or on a casual day with that special someone.  

Orchids
Worked down from the shoulders, Orchids is a breath-takingly sexy dress for those who dare to bare! Can also be worn over a lightweight top. Designed to be loose fitting and hip-skimming. Simple and enjoyable to knit, this dress will leave them wanting more! 

Fields of Lavender
Inspired by rows upon rows of blooming Lavender against the bluest of skies, the Fields of Lavender scarf will add a touch of drama to any outfit. Four different lace stitches keep the knitting interesting.
