Opposite Pole by JOJI

Knitwear artist Joji Locatelli of JOJI (of Ecuador and Pole fame) has done it again, her new Opposite Pole cardigan is sure to become a fast favorite in your wardrobe.

Opposite Pole is a seamless cable cardigan, with an A-line shape, reversible shawl collar and set-in sleeves. Its designed to be knit in the worsted weight Malabrigo Merino Worsted (which is On Sale).

The cable pattern is both charted and written.

Sizes To fit chest: 30/32 (34/36, 38/40, 42/44, 46/48, 50/52, 54/56, 58/60) inches;
Note on sizing: This sweater is designed so that it will fit and suit your body even if the measurements are not “exact”. The only thing you need to pay attention to is to your shoulder span and the sleeve circumference. The rest of the sweater is just a circle and will adapt to your body shape. If you are choosing between 2 sizes, I would advise you choose the bigger one.

wow! That is such a beautiful sweater. My only question is about closure. I find that I often knit pullovers because I don't want to deal with either sewing in zippers OR having a garment that just doesn't close. I guess this one could be closed with a shawl pin? In spite of the fact that i'm not sure i'd wear it, i want to make it so much. it looks like delightful knitting! (and of course in malabrigo....yum!)

You could wear it open or fasten it with a pin either underneath or on top or possibly add a button.
