the most amazing Yarn Bombing...

The other day while I was walking to work I passed by the Polish Consulate on 37th and Madison here in NYC and came across the most amazing yarn bombed statue I have ever seen!

This is a statue of the Polish WWII resistance movement fighter Jan Karski. In 1942 and 1943 Karski reported to the Polish government in exile and the Western Allies on the situation in German-occupied Poland, especially the destruction of the Warsaw Ghetto, and the secretive German-Nazi extermination camps.

This yarn bombing was done in loving detail right down to his tie.  I only wish there would have been a sign of some sort giving this yarn bomber or bombers the credit they deserve.
