Fiber Dreams' Lisca Cowl Kit Giveaway

This May will be my second year working with the amazing knitwear designer Laura Patterson of Fiber Dreams! Once again Patterson's generosity is as overwhelming as her talent as she offers us another Giveaway!

Creating knitwear, in luxurious fibers, that evokes art, literature and nature, this is what a knitter dreams of while crafting, and these are also some of the inspirations for Laura when she designs for her Fiber Dreams' knitwear collection.  She uses some of the finest yarns available, Malabrigo, Madelinetosh and Lorna's Laces to name a few, to create her beautiful and superbly written designs.

Once again, I've lost count of how many giveaways we've done together, Laura and I have teamed up to bring you a fantastic giveaway!  Her new Lisca Cowl pdf pattern and one skein of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Fiddlehead.

Laura shares the evolution of this design..."When I saw this beautiful tulip stitch I was compelled to design a cowl using it. I just had to do it. While searching for the perfect name I came across the Lisca tulip and was equally smitten. Please forgive me calling it that though the stitch does not have the flower’s frilly edges. I am certain you will be able to find a garden of beautiful colors that this cowl could be knit from."

Cowl is knit in the round in garter stitch, which means that every other round is purled, except where needed to make the flowers and leaves stand out.

And Shepherd Sock is a wonderful fingering weight yarn plied and crafted of 75% wool and 25% nylon, it can be machine washed and dried flat. Not just for socks, try it for lightweight shawls, tops & sweaters.
