December, a very special time of year, it brings the onset of cold temperatures, of course the holidays, and it's also your final chance to get your holiday gift knitting finished.  This December we'll discuss more projects perfect for quick gifts and larger projects for the upcoming January respite "knit for me time" but first I have a very special announcement, a new designer and a giveaway!

With holiday gift knitting in full force I couldn't resist introducing RosyPosy Designs' Be Mine Collection, 5 sweet shawlettes just right for gifting, and Cocoon Me a pattern which includes a cowl and shawlette, ahead of introducing the talented knitwear designer behind RosyPosy Designs: Rose Beck!  Beck's unique designs are relatively simple to construct but striking, simple chic is her goal and she achieves it in every garment.  It's finally time you are properly introduced to this self proclaimed "life long craft addict!"

Meet Rose Beck: I’ve been knitting and crocheting for over 20 years. A long medical leave in 2010 found with me with little strength for knitting but considerable time to explore designing, so RosyPosy Designs was born.  Why “RosyPosy Designs” as a name? After going through chronic fatigue syndrome and breast cancer treatment at the same time, I forced myself to take a positive outlook on life, otherwise I would end up crazy and depressed. “RosiePosie” was a nickname my friends and family used when I was little, and I remember hating it. I chose a resurrected form of this name to remind myself of my new take on life, where despite everything, I can choose to view my life as rosy.  These days my health is back to normal and I appreciate everyday I have.  Life is short--make it beautiful.

I like to design accessories that are simple yet elegant, and that make the most of today’s gorgeous hand-dyed luxury yarns.
Beck has generously agreed to do a giveaway with me!  She is offering three of her lovely patterns as prizes;
  1. Looking Glass Kit, pattern & 2 skeins of Sandrasingh 1 Ply Merino Worsted
  2. Winner's Choice any RosyPosy Designs' eBook
  3. Winner Choice any single RosyPosy Designs' Pattern
Take a look at RosyPosy Designs patterns and enjoy getting to know Rose Beck even better.

I follow you on ravelry and facebook. These patterns are gorgeous! It's hard to choose just one favorite, but if I must then I choose parquet shawl. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for Rose's patterns.

All the patterns are unique and beautiful. It's difficult to choose but stands of pearls would be my favorite. I follow your blog by email. Thanks for the chance to win.

It is so hard to pick, but Sugared Violets is definitely a temptation to knit! What a standout design, and a crescent, which is easier to wear. She's got great talent!

Hmmm... never realized how many of your designs I really like. If I had to pick one, I think it would be looking glass, especially the hat... something about that one just drew me in. Wow.. lots of ways to enter, but I guess I'm a bit out of the trends--no twitter or pininterest and only facebook to see what my kids are up to, I can barely keep up with email and ravelry. Well, glad I rec'd an email about your collections and glad that your life has greatly improved.

All of those patterns are beautiful ! And a few are in my ravelry favorites. But if I have to chose one, it's probably Cocoon Me, because it has quite an original texture, and I love to wear cowls.
