Orchid Wrap
Wear Cecily Glowik MacDonald's Orchid Wrap folded in half and buttoned as a scarf or left open to cover your shoulders.  Its a great first time entrelac project.
Reindeer Cardigan

Shiri Mor's Reindeer Cardigan features intarsia reindeer and is worked in a garter lace trim pattern with Fair Isle trees ringing the short, set-in sleeves.

Saguaro Mitts
A chunky fifteen stitch cable runs up the back of the hand in Lisa Shroyer's toasty Saguaro Mittens.  Worked on size 9 needles in the round you can finish one mitten in an evening.
