Graphic Knitting with Laura Aylor
The moment I saw Laura Aylor's Jordan Point shawl I knew I was looking at a design my customers would have to have. Aylor's clean, modern aesthetic takes graphic knitting to an entirely new level and she has an eye for designing color blocked garments.

To introduce Laura she's agreed to do a Blog Giveaway!
3 lucky readers will win a Laura Aylor Pattern of their choosing!
Meet Laura Aylor: If 'knitting
designer' had been one of the job choices for those aptitude tests they give you
in high school, Laura says she wouldn't have spent so many years trying to
decide what she wanted to be when she grew up. Her best subject in high school
was math; her best classes in college were logic, drawing, and a commercial art
class. After careers in computer programming/analysis and child-rearing, knit
design snuck up on her, but she thinks it's the perfect use of her odd skill
set. She loves every step of the process, from figuring out how to actually make
what she’s envisioned to putting the finishing touches on a pattern, not to
mention all the knitting that comes in between!
Instructions on how to enter this Giveaway are below, but
first enjoy her entire collection.

Litchfield is my favorite. I love the ebb and flow of the stripes and it looks just lovely to throw around my shoulders on a cool evening.
Enamored is my favorite! love the simple patterns used ... so differents from the lacy patterns i've been making, yet so elegant!

I love them all, but really like Miss Potter.
Came to know of the designer from your Ravelry group.
I just love the colour placements of all of them especially Oak Park.
Difficult to pick one but I would say Enamoured!
I like the Westport Wrap because it's easy and chic. Ideal if you want to use just a skein of your favorite yarn in different colors.
I already own Shades of Truth, so my next would be Faberge'. I'm on your newsletter list, and follow you on FB.
Oh man! I love so many of them... I torn, Jordan Point or City Block?? Both have some wonderful versatility.... I love the graphic design in these so much that I will have to make at least one!
I am in your Racelry forum, I get your newsletters and I know I have "liked" your FB page.... I will check to see if I missed something... ^_^
I love Oak Park! I love the big, bold, blocks of color!

I love Derecho -- though the storm it's named for was pretty unpleasant!
I love the Frank Lloyd Wright lines of many of her patterns but I really fell for the Merrywood Throw. It grabbed my eye immediately when I spotted it and I would love to have one on my couch.
I recently came across Laura's designs featuring FLW's style. My favorite posted here is Derecho, a beautiful shawl with such attention to geometric detail.

It is tough to choose a favorite (I love Faberge, City Block, and All The Shades of Truth), but I've seen Derecho live at my LYS and so that's the one I'm choosing!
Also, I'm following you on Twitter and Tweeted about the giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity.
I deleted my previous comment as I forgot my contact info.
What a wonderful giveaway! My favorite pattern so far is City Block. I haven't tried picking up stitches and this would be a great way to learn this technique!

Thankyou for highlighting a new designer who is such a diverse creative talent and the designs really speak to me. Today I'm in love with the Merrywood Throw but I would love to knit them all. You've made my day full of smiles already.
I love the bold graphicness of both Derecho and Jordan Point. Perfect for all thos sock yarns I have stashed! (I subscribe to your newsletter too!)
It's a tie between All the Shades of Truth and Oak Park- although I love the colors on City Block.
I like the shape of the Stella Luna shawl pattern.

Awesome patterns.
I posted on my FB wall with a link to the giveaway!!!
The shawls are gorgeous, but I'd rather pay for them than play puppet. Also, how do I get off your mailing list?
I would like to knit several of the patterns. The first one would have to be 'Enamoured'. Lovely!
I love stella luna, i think it would look great in about any yarn, though it is a hard choice
i love all of them, but I agree with those who said the Stella Luna is gorgeous. That would probably be my top choice.
Additionally, liked you on Facebook, shared you in Plainville Stitchers on Ravelry and followed you on Twitter.

(mamagiff on rav)
I love them all, but think Faberge would be the most fun to knit.
I can't decide between "All the shades of Truth" and "Oak Park". I love the FLW-inspired look of them. Gorgeous!
This is hard because I have followed Laura's designs on Ravelry for quite a while now. Oak Park and Laylor are too favorites, but I just purchased Cinnamon Toast and can't wait to start it!
The favorite pattern is City Block & Faberge, so completly lovely patterns that cover either modern or romantic styles by Laura Aylor.
Thank you for hosting this blog pattern giveaway to knitters. It would be nice if we could knit for victims of Hurricaine Sandyom need the warmth of a scarf, hat or shawl made with loving hands.
Almost chose jordan, then all the shades of truth -- but ardys stands out because it is snowing out and i wish i had a vest right now! What amazing designs!
I have two patterns that I really like, but I would have to say that Faberge'is my favorite. I love the look and the design of this pattern
I receive your newsletters.
Okay I love the Stella Luna because it reminds me of bat wings-but I'm sure that was the intention, thus the name! I didn't realize that I LOVE so many of her designs. This designer needs to be favorited in my ravelry feed!
I adore Flame Nettle - nice lacework but nothing over the top. I like a lot of the colour block shawls too!
It's hard to pick a fav, but I'd like to CO Ardys right away :) I love vest
I'd love to CO Ardys right away, but it's hard to choose a favorite
Which one is my favorite??? It is like asking me which child is my favorite. They are all spectacular! If I MUST pick, I think it is the Oak Park Scarf...or Derecho...or maybe

I love All the Shades of Truth because it is so organized and I am crazy for black and white. But I have also "favorited" Derecho. I haven't seen Enamored but it looks so wearable.
If I have to choose just one (they are all so beautiful) I'd have to say the Merrywood Throw. I'd like it on my lap right now!
I follow you on FB and Ravelry.
I own Cinnamon Toast and am currently knitting it, but I'm in serious lust over All The Shades of Truth. I want this pattern!! I really wish you sold it as a kit.
Fabergé is my personal favorite !
So many techniques, and it is still precious and delicate !!
And I'm a NL follower
;)
And I'm also a FB fan ! :D
And I'm a blog follower too...

I really like Jordan Point. I think I would knit this for my mother.
I've been familiar with Laura's shawl patterns and love the architectural nature of them all, but hadn't really seen her vest patterns. Now I'm totally smitten with Ardys and will have to make it!!!
I love Faberge!
I don't know how I can choose only one favorite. I really like Oak Park - love FLW too. Faberge is gorgeous and I think I would wear that and love knitting it. Love the edging on enamored, and Merrywood throw is beautiful! I am forced to choose Faberge.
And now I follow the blog, can't believe I wasn't before...

I'm in you Rav group & receive you newsletter & read your blog.
It's difficult to choose just one pattern that I love, but I was drawn to Derecho. I would be happy with any of your patterns as they have a certain elegance to them. :)
There are several designs I would love to make, including the Merrywood Throw, Aileen vest, and Faberge shawl. Thanks for the intro to this beautiful designer!
So many of them are lovely. I'd make the Oak Park scarf for sure. The colour blocking is lovely and i'm a fan of that architectural style.

I'm a big fan of Laura's designs. My fav is Faberge.
I'm a FB fan! Love the Faberge pattern.

My favorite is the Merrywood Throw... there is so much going on, yet it is also so refined... I just love it :)
Wow, I have a new designer to love! Stella Luna and City Block are my two favorites...I don't realllly have to pic just one, do I? I also like the Frank Lloyd Wright scarf, too (darn, what was its name?)!!!
btw...you can contact me on Ravelry as Llamalady
Faberge is my favorite. I've never done beading or a horizontal cable (?), so there would be some challenges - and so worth it for such a beautiful result.
Thanks for your generous giveaway!
I love Faberge as I love the various techniques used!
I am carol-alyce on Ravelry
A lot of the patterns here are modern looking (blocks), but I love the old-fashioned look of Faberge. It's just so pretty!

I just love the lines of Stella Luna and the contrast between the lace and solid areas. It's in my library already and in my queue. The next on my list of Laura's patterns to get is the Merrywood Throw.
