Today I have 5 new Lace Projects for you, lace is special, it can either be the Outwear or it can be layered over your favorite sweater, coat or jacket giving you an entirely new look.
Ilga Leja designed her new shawl pattern Antonia to be customized to your style, its worked in stepped stages to form a triangular shape and easily sized as a shoulderette (as pictured) or a full size shawl.
A top border worked with short rows adds shaping so Antonia sits easily on your shoulders. Wear pinned or tie it at the front for a more casual look.
Melosa means sweet and gentle in Spanish and if you're a new lace knitter or an experienced lace knitter looking for a fast project, or even somewhere in between, you'll enjoy working Melosa. This sideways crescent-shaped shawl can be knit in either a sock or DK weight yarn.
Elix is a simple bottom-up shawl that begins with an unique lace and cable stitch pattern, then followed by reverse stockinette rows and dropped stitch rows. Its airy and light weight and created by combing two of your favorite yarns, Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light and Malabrigo Sock which is On Sale.
And Frangipani and Mystere are also bottom-up shawls with sizing options.
Frangipani is a very quick knit, once you finish the Part I lace stitch pattern, the stockinette rows in the second part will be done in no time. Beads are recommended to be added on the stockinette rows randomly if you want to give this shawl a more fascinating look.
And Mystere knits up into a beautifully textured shawl featuring a leaf pattern designed in twisted stitches, nupps, wrapped eyelet and even optional beading, its definitely a challenging, yet satisfying knitting project. Photo tutorials and video clips are included in the pattern for the twisted stitches.
Whether you're in the mood to browse for just the right project or you're in a hurry I've organized my patterns for your convenience and for you to get the most out of your shopping time. You'll find them listed alphabetically by Designer and also arranged in Categories.
