New Cardigan Designs from JOJI and 20% OFF Malabrigo Yarns

A soft drapey cardigan with an open front is just right for right now and Joji Locatelli of JOJI is the master of sculpting them! For Spring/Summer '11 she's added these two light weight cardis to her collection for your knitting pleasure.

Both are knit in a Malabrigo Yarn and all my Malabrigo is 20% Off until June 24th. And during the month of June when you spend $25 or more on yarn, knitting needles, notions, magazines & patterns, any order charged shipping, you’ll receive a complimentary skein of yarn. Yarn will be selected for you while supplies last.

Ecuador

Light and flowing Ecuador is worked with Malabrigo's fingering weight yarn Sock in a fairly loose gauge. The A-line shape has draped fronts and a simple lace pattern in the body. Ecuador is absolutely seamless and can be knit with short or long sleeves.

Ecuador is based on the JOJI pattern Pole, if you are familiar with Pole you'll find the instructions very similar but changes include: a different gauge and collar, a lace pattern in the body and set-in sleeves with short row shaping.

Sizes To fit chest: 30/32 (34/36, 38/40, 42/44, 46/48, 50/52, 54/56, 58/60)" and 75/80 (85/90, 95/100, 105/110, 115/120, 125/130, 135/140, 145/150) cm.

Yarn: Malabrigo Sock (440 yd /100g), or any other fingering weight yarn that knits to the gauge.
Short sleeved version: 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7) skeins
Long sleeved version: 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7, 7) skeins
Needles: 3.5mm (US 4) straight or circular needles for the back piece and body. 3.5mm (US 4) and 3.0mm (US 2 ½) double pointed needles or a long circular needle (for magic loop) for the sleeves.
Gauge (in Stockinette Stitch) 22 stitches and 40 rows to 4" (10 cm) on US 4 (3.5mm) needles, after blocking. It is very important that you get a loose fabric!
