June 2010 Newsletter

Summer fashion pays tribute to the hardest working piece of clothing in your closet, Denim. For your next event play up, or down, your classic denim jeans, shorts, skirt, jacket or dress. Top it off with this seasons' best lady-like lace tops, give it an electric kick with a bright color or wrap it up in one of these lacey shawls. Whether you're stepping out for a night on the town or into the country go in style in one of these denim & knitwear ensembles.

In This Issue: Ilga Leja / Gardiner Yarn Works / More Lacey, Racy Summer Tops / HeartStrings FiberArts / Goddess Knits / Free Pattern /

Ilga Leja
Its no coincidence Ilga's new lacey top design is dubbed California Dreamin', it was San Francisco 1873 when Levis Strauss first introduced his denim work pants, our modern day "blue jeans." This relaxed tunic will top off a pair of perfect fitting straight leg jeans with panache.

California Dreamin' is part of Ilga's new "Linen Collection" along with her new Flight of Fancy wrap. Light as a summer breeze, diaphanous as a bride’s veil, Ilga's Flight of Fancy plays with shape and lace stitches for a shawl with movement and grace. Its trapezoidal form allows for many elegant interpretations.

Gardiner Yarn Works

It features a lace-up front, waist and bust shaping, lacy back and contrasting attached i-cord edging knit in Berroco's Suede yarn.

For a more tailored look knit Chrissy's cabled Velancia top. This engaging summer knit features stretchy rib, waist shaping, fun cable panels and totally seamless construction, pair it with some cropped white denim jeans and you'll be crisp and classically cool.

Can Can by Berroco is a shear lace top knit in an ogee leaf lace pattern, while Can Can Can is the cropped version. Universally flattering Goddess, by Jennifer Hanson, hugs your body in all the right places while loosely draping over the bust to accentuate your figure. HeartStrings FiberArts
Add a touch of sweetness to your edgy blue denim vest with HeartStrings FiberArts' Symphony V Mobius. It features a
different angle on the one-sided Möbius and works up quickly on relatively large needles with an easy, reversible lace pattern. Style it as a shoulder wrap, neck scarf or head covering.

A casual weekend calls for comfortable separates, your boyfriend jeans with HeartStrings' Sweet Melody Vest. The subtle eyelets pattern drifts in and out of a flattering cascade of textured wavy columns. The slightly fluted lower edge is a nice touch, too. This vest is knitted as one piece so that finishing is almost eliminated. And roll up your jeans to show off your new Two Ways About It Beaded Socks, these knee highs feature lace and beading.
