During the past few weeks you may have tried to make a purchase on Sandrasingh.com using your Credit Card and found you were not able to do so. We've been making some changes to our Secure Checkout System and it was down for periods of time.

Our Checkout System is still secure, always has been and will remain so, but we have expanded our Credit Card system to now accept Maestro and Solo cards along with Visa, Discover, Mastercard and American Express.

And you still have the option to use your Paypal account.

Ribbon Taffy Socks

I'm excited to introduce the very first pattern written for my Sandrasingh.com Yarn Superwash Fingering!

Bring back fond memories of the special holiday or summer treat ribbon taffy candy with Renee Leverington's sweet Ribbon Taffy socks. Renee, the talent behind "Goddess Knits," designed these socks to be knit in Sandrasingh.com's Superwash Fingering yarn. The twisted stitches create the taffy inspired fabric and they are knit from the cuff down. The pattern is charted.

Color Theory: Green

Central Texas is bursting with color this Spring. We've been blessed with lots of rain, unlike last year's drought when our lakes and rivers were bone dry and our native wild flowers scarce. My daily dog walks have been festive and full of life and I've been having fun capturing the bright flora and fauna on my camera!

For once fashion has gotten it right too. This Spring we've bid farewell to the somber colors of last year and are gearing up for a fun neon fueled summer! I'm loving the Hawaiian Tropic prints and hues and the bold splashes of color I'm seeing in the magazines. I've not yet hit the stores, that will take place in a couple of more weeks, but I'm eager to.

Today I pay tribute to the freshest color of Spring: Green!

My neighbor let me dig up some of these agaves when I first moved in almost five years ago, they were quite a bit smaller back than.
I call this my Bird of Paradise bush, it has bright orange and yellow flowers (you'll see them when I do Orange), but that's not it's real name.

Fuzzy Lamb's Ear, yes it really is deer resistant.

This beautiful little fern was growing out of the side of Enchanted Rock, sheer granite, hows that for determination. DH and I went hiking there last Sunday and summited.
The rain has brought out the Cicadas too. Noisy little creatures who like to dine on my plants, but what goes around comes around, my dog likes to dine on them!

Yesterday I figured out how to add my very own Facebook Page on FB for my website Sandrasingh.com. You can visit it and hit "Like" to become a fan.

I also added a "Fan Photos" area for customer photographs. Now you can add your finished projects directly to this "Fan Page." Same applies as on my website's Customer's Creations page, the yarn or pattern must have been purchased from my website. And you'll receive an Online Coupon Code for $5 off your next order.

Also...I've been busy, if you prefer Ravelry I added a "Show Off Your Finished Projects" thread in my Ravelry group, Sandrasingh.com Same rules apply as for the other two Customer's Creations pages and of course you'll be PMed the $5 off coupon code!

Trees continued...

Planted 13 out of the 15 trees, potted the last two and may put them in the ground when the weather cools in the fall. But the project looks great and I can't wait to see red holly berries along my driveway in the winter.
